Steeped in tradition, the Joint Livestock Show held on Monday 01 May 2023 in Fiè/Völs was once again a successful celebration of livestock breeding in and around the village at the foot of the Sciliar/Schlern massif – a local farming practice cultivated over many generations with great passion and diversity.

Livestock shows are not just a platform for exchange among breeders, they are also a great opportunity to compete with others and appreciate each other’s successes in breeding, while offering non-farming audiences a captivating insight into animal husbandry and breeding more generally. And because Fiè allo Sciliar/Völs am Schlern is known for its rich and passionate horse breeding tradition, Haflingers and Norikers are of course always a much-loved staple at the show, too.
